Versasec Team Focuses on Future of IAM and 2FA in Athens

The full Versasec team recently convened in Athens, Greece, to reconnect with fellow employees from around the globe, discuss the future of cybersecurity, and help determine how the leader in two-factor authentication and identity and access management will continuously improve its ability to assist small-to-medium-sized businesses and global organizations in securing their data and physical assets.

The team-building offsite gathering provides an opportunity to meet one-on-one with colleagues, build relationships and celebrate the company's decade-plus in business. Team members from Versasec's business operations, sales and technical groups, from 8 different locations, met to set the company's agenda for 2020.

During the daytime sessions, employees participated in an engaging discussion about vSEC:CMS's product roadmap and identified customer pain points, such as managing multiple two-factor authentication methods. They also discussed how as credential management solutions (CMS) gain in popularity, customers will look to Versasec to support leading trends and technologies, such as local biometric readers, virtual smart cards and Windows Hello for Business (WHfB) - Microsoft's latest virtual smart card offering.

In addition, company executives reviewed likely 2020 cybersecurity trends and identified several areas, including the renewed use of corporate badges under the demand for tighter global security, increased interest in FIDO2 and decreasing dependence on password-only authentication.

The offsite's objectives were met as Versasec established key trends, identified customers' priorities around the globe and built team unity through several fun events. Versasec team members enjoyed the Athens by Night tour, a daytime historic city center scavenger hunt, sampled local dishes and wines, and stepped out to take in all the Athens tourist destinations.
