In the first layer, the core of all connections. One of these is credentials: smart cards and USB tokens. Versasec has the longest list of supported credentials that keeps growing with each release. Other connections Versasec offers from the off-the-shelf products vSEC:CMS and vSEC:CLOUD include:

• Certificate Authority: required for certificate-based authentication and other PKI-related use cases,
• FIDO IdP: enterprise management of FIDO credentials for modern phishing-resistant authentication, and
• Hardware Security Module (HSM): preferred by large organizations to hold the master key.

Moving forward to the second layer, we find the essential features for credential operators. Our products deliver much value to system administrators, our top users, by delivering efficiency and simplicity. For instance, Automation enables organizations to save hours and days of manual work, enabling organization-wide rollouts. Our off-the-shelf products come with Batch Issuance, and a selection of APIs to allow for integration into employee on- and off-boarding. Through both, the admin is able to perform key tasks of identity access management in a few or no clicks with full confidence.

• PIN policy: set it up once and fulfill compliance regulations,
• Remote issuance: delegate complete or partial credential issuance to the users, and
• Repository: check live status of any credential at any time.

Finally, our last layer displays features created based on particular industries and use cases. Smart Card Printer, for example, is often used in manufacturing, healthcare or any organization where visible identification on the badge is required. Smart card printers are also a great tool for large-scale Batch Issuance. Credential management for logical access combined with physical access in the same device are great for accessing both, buildings and computer systems.

• Archive/Recovery: while not for everyday use, definitely valuable in the face of a broken or lost credential,
• Audit: historical archives of data logs, who issued what credential, in what period of time was a certain credential revoked, and of course, great for compliance purposes, and
• Virtual credentials: a great alternative to physical credentials or as a temporary alternative when employees forget their physical credentials at home.
