Twenty-seventeen is already in full swing, and we had a busy few weeks leading up to the New Year. We hope you all had a joyous and healthy holiday season. Here's what we've been up to:

For starters, we've just opened an office in Dubai (Versasec FZ-LLC) that serves our resellers, customers and prospects in the Middle East and Africa. The new office is an important element in our growing global presence, and our other offices in Stockholm, New York, Silicon Valley (Menlo Park), the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

We made another important hire - Mohamed Amine Elalami – who will be in charge of our sales and pre-sales duties in the new Dubai office. His appointment was announced along with the new office. He comes to Versasec from Underwriter Laboratories Transaction Security group in Dubai. Mr. Elalami reports to William Houry, our France-based Vice President of Sales.

In conjunction with the Dubai office news, we announced our partnership with GRC3D, a systems integrator based in the United Arab Emirates that focuses on identity and access management (IAM). By working together we will deliver a combined security offering that provides high-quality service and the highest security solutions to our joint customers. GRC3D is headquartered in Dubai.

We're pleased to say that in 2016 we recorded a 65.2 percent increase in year-over-year sales from 2015, we expanded our full-time staff by 36 percent, and we increased our global customer reach by 22 percent.

In short, we're starting 2017 in a very nice position. But no matter how much we're growing, some things remain the same -- such as our mission to provide solutions that are affordable and easy to integrate so organizations of all sizes can implement high levels of security. We're still firmly committed to offering first class support, maintenance, and training. And we continue to make our products readily available: our products and services can be bought and delivered worldwide by use of an extensive reseller network and through the Versasec web site:

Happy 2017, all!
