Client Repository - A Key Feature in vSEC:CMS Version 6.2

A leader in credential management systems, Versasec’s flagship product, vSEC:CMS is now on version 6.2. A key feature of this release is the client repository, client application data is now collected and stored in the database made available to system administrators. It provides great visibility to the system administrators to avoid version mismatch during deployment and be sure to reap all software benefits.
When organizations upgrade to a new vSEC:CMS version, not all client applications may be upgraded. As with any software, if it becomes too outdated, it may experience issues or limits in functionality, for both the server and client applications. To grant higher visibility to system administrators, the client repository provides the software version on all connected Versasec client applications. Additionally, it can provide a report of all the application versions with just a simple click. With this information, system administrators can lead the update of any outdated devices.
To utilize the client repository feature, Remote Security Device Management (RSDM) in vSEC:CMS must be installed. When Versasec’s vSEC:CMS software is up-to-date on both clients and server, organizations benefit from new, improved features and fixes.
