Austin, TX, April 24, 2018 -- Versasec, the leader in smart card management systems, today announced it has hired Carolina Martinez as its Director of U.S. Operations. At Versasec, Ms. Martinez will be responsible for one of the business' most important markets and establishing new customer relationships, overseeing customer interactions and ensuring customer satisfaction across the Americas. She is a veteran of Versasec partner Gemalto, where she most recently served as the company's Global Director of Customer Service and Card Management within Gemalto's enterprise and cybersecurity operations.

Ms. Martinez, who brings to Versasec more than 25 years' experience in working with smart cards, digital security, identity access management tools, team building, customer service, sales and more, will be based in Austin, Texas. At Gemalto USA, she also previously served as director of business planning and customer management Americas, director of business planning and customer service NORAM, and sales planning and analysis director. She also held a variety of sales and operations positions at Gemplus before it became Gemalto USA, including stints in Venezuela, Spain and Mexico.

Ms. Martinez studied industrial engineering at the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello in Caracas, Venezuela. She is fluent in Spanish and English and also speaks conversational French and Portuguese.
