Celebrating 2025: A Year of Enterprise FIDO2 and Unprecedented Customer Loyalty

Product Innovation: The FIDO Future Arrived

Every area of our company worked diligently to push the boundaries of digital identity and security. In 2025, we released four strong new versions of our flagship credential management system, vSEC:CMS: 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 7.2.2.

Apart from continuously adding new functionality and features, to improve the user experience, the overarching theme of these releases and milestones has been enabling Enterprise FIDO adoption. Through innovation and efficiency, the product significantly advanced FIDO capabilities, including:

Versasec FIDO2 Enterprise (from v6.12)

The year began by highlighting advanced FIDO Enterprise capabilities launched in late 2024. These features, which go beyond FIDO CTAP 2.1 standards, include essential lifecycle management tools like FIDO2 PIN Unblock and the Allow List.

Thales Integration Highlight: These enterprise features were central to the strategic partnership with Thales OneWelcome, vSEC:CMS becoming part of the Thales OneWelcome FIDO Key Lifecycle Management solution.

vSEC:CMS Version 7.0 Release (April 2025)

This release marked the launch of a mature FIDO credential management system. It introduced Multiple Passkeys Enrollment, allowing a single authenticator to be enrolled simultaneously into multiple Identity Providers (IdPs).

vSEC:CMS Version 7.1 Release (July 2025)

Version 7.1 introduced FIDO2 Smart Card Batch Issuance. This feature allows for the automated configuration and printing of smart cards combining FIDO2, PKI, and Physical Access in a single flow.

 

vSEC:CMS Version 7.2 Release (November 2025)

Version 7.2, released in November 2025, brought key updates focused on centralized control and hardware ecosystem expansion:

• Expanded Thales Support: Version 7.2 introduced management for the Thales SafeNet eToken FIDO, expanding the supported FIDO2 hardware options for enterprises,.
• Active YubiKey Transition: This version enabled the automated re-provisioning and seamless transition of active YubiKeys to vSEC:CMS management in a single flow, resetting the PIV applet and generating new, diversified credentials.
• Helpdesk Control: FIDO management features were extended to the lighter vSEC:CMS Agent application, allowing administrators to list/remove passkeys and initiate FIDO resets to reduce helpdesk friction.

vSEC:CMS Version 7.2.2 Release (December 2025)

Versasec announced the integration of Yubico FIDO Pre-reg, accelerating high-assurance MFA adoption by enabling organizations to ship pre-registered FIDO credentials directly to end-users (zero-touch deployment) while maintaining full lifecycle control via vSEC:CMS.

This year’s product updates and milestones solidifies vSEC:CMS as the world-class Identity & Access Management system required to prepare companies against malicious actors by leveraging the power of modern, phishing-resistant industry standards.

Market Growth and Expanding Reach

Through valuable partnerships and expanding expertise, Versasec increased its global footprint this year. We successfully entered 3 new international markets, adding them to our growing list. We are delighted to now serve 64 countries around the world!

Our Channel sales partnerships developed strongly throughout the year, hosting and participating in 10 global webinars with technology partners, meeting and exhibiting alongside partners in 18 in-person conferences. Our two must-watch webinars for this year are:

Strong Teams, Strong Foundation

2025 was a fantastic year for reinforcing our global talent. Our team welcomed 4 highly skilled leaders to the Versasec family. These professionals reinforced critical areas of our operations: Research & Development, the American Technical Sales Team, and the European Sales Team.

We started off 2025 with a productive, fun and team-building Kickoff Event in Åre, Sweden. The time spent together was invaluable for sharing ideas, building collaboration, and setting the course for a monumental year. I am deeply grateful and proud of each team member at Versasec who exceeds expectations every day, delivering exceptional products and solutions.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we look toward the new year, our goals are clear. We foresee excellent product releases focused on refreshing and modernising our interfaces for improved usability and experience.

We will continue to work alongside leading technology partners, focusing on integrations with HSMs, phishing-resistant authentication hardware (security keys and smart cards), and identity providers (IdPs), ensuring our platform remains highly flexible and compatible across the evolving security ecosystem. From the executive level, we expect to work alongside more professionals in diverse industries as the awareness and demand for stronger, modern cybersecurity rises, leveraging our team’s proven expertise in diverse regions.
