Celebrating Innovation: Highlights from Versasec's Virtual Holiday Party

“We all deserve a short break from the December hustle and bustle and I loved the escape room challenges as we really had to collaborate on this. I enjoyed Joakim’s keynote statement to review the year, celebrate our achievements, and have a sneak preview on what 2025 might bring,” Yvonne Moebius, Human Resources Specialist at Versasec.

This year, the winner of the V-Idea contest comes from the Middle East and Africa Region: Kamel Elias, Technical Consultant at our Egypt office. Earlier in 2024, Kamel was honored with the Best Oral Presentation award at the 12th International Conference on Software and Information Engineering in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Now, he is again impressing us with outstanding ideas for our product.

We couldn’t be prouder of our team members who excel in diverse areas, embodying excellence in everything they do. While we cannot reveal the details of Kamel’s winning idea just yet, we are excited to share that it will be part of our vSEC:CMS and vSEC:CLOUD solutions in 2025. Join us in celebrating this achievement and cheering on our team as we work to turn these exciting ideas into reality!

The Best V-Team Idea

This year, we introduced a new competition for the best V-Team Idea. Everyone could submit suggestions on how to bond the team and to improve our team spirit. We’ve been impressed by the amount and creativity of the V-Team Ideas which are all worth to be implemented! The winning idea has been selected by the team itself, and the winner is one of the newest members of our team—Andzelika Gorecka, Business Administrator from our UK office! Her brilliant idea: ‘A quick break to come together for virtual games with a bit of friendly competition. Think of it as a coffee break with a twist—featuring virtual escape rooms, board games, hangman, or even drawing and guessing games like Pictionary. The possibilities are endless!’

Andzelika enthusiastically shared her idea during our team call, and we were all inspired by her creativity. Her prize? A well-deserved spa treatment at our upcoming kickoff meeting!

Congratulations, Andzelika! We can’t wait to see how you’ll bring even more fun and team spirit to the year ahead.

To remind us of the magic and challenges of virtual gatherings, our youngest team member shared his heartfelt thoughts:

“It was my first virtual Christmas party. As a concept, I appreciate the idea of bringing everyone together, but it doesn’t feel natural to me. So many important aspects of human interaction are lost in the virtual world, and no matter how much we like or try, we can’t really capture the soul of it.”
