User Self-Service with vSEC:CMS version 6.1

With every new version of our flagship identity and access management solution, vSEC:CMS, we add in more value for its User Self-Service function. This important capability’s value was never more evident than when the world went into lockdown with the COVID-19 pandemic. Workers who had no option but to work at home could change their own user PINs and more without taking up valuable resources through their company’s help desks.
With vSEC:CMS User Self-Service (USS), users can perform advanced hardware credential management tasks in a straightforward fashion. The credentials can be smart cards, badges, tokens (USB, RFID, NFC…) and virtual credentials such as virtual smart cards and the popular Windows Hello for Business (WHfB).
In vSEC:CMS 6.1, the User Self-Service can be downloaded through the Microsoft Store. Users who need to make allowed changes to their credentials can simply launch the vSEC:CMS User Self-Service app, where they can view their profile, check on the status of their self-issuance tokens, check their card information, and view and change their user PIN.
An extra important feature of vSEC:CMS USS during the new work from home setup is Self-issuance. When team members are not in the office, credentials can not be issued and handed to them in person. This is critical during onboarding, that we will see a lot of as the economies around the world are picking up again. It is the same situation for replacements, if an issued credential is broken or lost.
